Discussion Questions

1. Why would Paul have Timothy circumcised when he refused to let Titus be circumcised and refused to submit to the Judiazers in Acts 15? ((Galatians 2:3-5; Acts 15:1-2)?

2. What are some practical examples of how we can “become all things to all people” for the sake of the gospel in our modern context to one another and to our unsaved neighbors? (1 Cor. 9:1-9; 19-27)

3. Paul spoke about some closed doors and open doors on his missionary journeys. Share some real-life examples from your life when God opened a door and closed one. (Acts 16:6-10; 1 Cor. 16:9)

4. How do you see the power of God work in differing ways through the individuals of Lydia, Slave Girl, and Jailer in Acts 16? What does this tell us about God’s power to save and transform?

5. The epistle of Philippians was likely written 10 years after Paul’s first visit to Philippi in Acts 16. Read Philippians 1:1-11. What changed since Acts 16? How does this give us hope?
